Erin go braugh & Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

shamrockNo matter what nationality you are or what part of the globe your ancestors come from, on St. Patrick’s Day everyone is Irish. March 17 brings out the entire universe of the “wearin’ of the green.” Everyone wants to feel Irish on this holiday, and for good reason-the Irish are a happy, kind, and welcoming people!

But St. Paddy’s Day is very different in Ireland compared to the U.S. One of my fellow classmates and senior Journalism majors, Katie McKenna, wrote a fantastic column on what St. Patrick’s Day is like in Ireland, and its on AmherstWire.com right now. Enjoy reading about the holiday that millions of Americans patronize each year, and learning how the holiday is celebrated in the Emerald Isles.
