Ever since I can remember, writing has always been my rock. From the strange way that I hold my pencil to pen-palling with my second grade teacher for ten years, I’ve been a writer from the beginning.
I graduated in May 2014 from UMass Amherst with a double major in Journalism and Political Science. I’ve written travel stories for GoNOMAD.com and at UMass I was the travel editor for AmherstWire.com, an online news magazine that re-launched in September 2013 that’s the go-to news magazine for the campus community.
In spring 2013, I studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy and had the experience of a lifetime. I interned at Political Research Associates in Boston as a Research and Editorial Intern during summer 2013. I’ve also written for my hometown newspaper, the Billerica Minuteman, and have contributed to policymic.com as well.
When I’m not writing, I’m running, reading, or planning my next adventure. I live in New York City and I’m currently a reporter at Skift, the largest global travel news and intelligence site.
Some of my favorite travel quotes:
“It’s not the years in your life that counts, it’s the life in your years” -Abraham Lincoln
“The farther you go, however, the harder it is to return. The world has many edges, and it’s easy to fall off.” – Anderson Cooper
“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.” – George Harrison
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…” – Dr. Seuss
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes” anonymous
“Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.” -Helen Keller
